Safety & Policies

At Swagg Surfing, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers above all else. Operating jet skis can be an exhilarating experience, but it's essential to do so responsibly to ensure the safety of yourself, others, and the environment. Before embarking on your jet ski adventure, please review the following safety guidelines and tips:

Safety

  1. Always wear a properly fitting PFD (life jacket) when operating a jet ski. PFDs provide buoyancy and can save your life in the event of an accident or unexpected immersion in water. See the video provided or click this link for a demonstration of how to properly wear a PFD.
  2. Avoid Reckless Maneuvers: Refrain from performing dangerous stunts, abrupt turns, or excessive speeds that could endanger yourself or others. Jet skis can be powerful machines, so operate them with caution and respect for others on the water.
  3. Stay Alert and Sober: Operating a jet ski requires focus, attention, and quick reflexes. Avoid alcohol and drugs before and during your jet ski excursion, as they impair judgment, coordination, and reaction time.
  4. Use the Kill Switch: Attach the kill switch lanyard to your person or life jacket before starting the jet ski's engine. This safety feature automatically shuts off the engine if you become separated from the craft, preventing runaway situations.
